Tournament Rules and Procedures
Under 7 and Under 8 (None Competitive)
- There will be two groups of four teams.
- Seven aside. (7 v 7)
- Games will last for 20 minutes, exactly 9 minutes each way with two minutes for a change around.
- Roll on, roll off subs, but must let the referee know if you are making substitutions, and can only be made when ball is out of play.
- There is one seven aside pitch.
- Designated referee for the pitch.
- At the end of each game both managers must speak with the referee and confirm the result with him.
- Results will then be given to a pitch steward to bring to the tent. Although results are irrelevant, the tent will keep count of where the teams finish in each group of four, so that they play the team who finish in the same position from the other league in their final game. The scores and league will not be available for viewing.
- Players aren’t allowed to swap between teams if in the case of teams entering an ‘A’ and ‘B’ team.
Under 9 and Under 10 (Competitive Tournament)
- There will be two groups each of six teams.
- Seven aside. (7 v 7).
- Maximum number of players per team is eleven, minimum is eight. (7 v 7).
- Games will last for 15 minutes, exactly 7 minutes each way with one minute for a change around.
- Roll on, roll off subs, but must let the referee know if you are making substitutions, and can only be made when ball is out of play.
- There are three seven aside pitches.
- Each group has a designated pitch; therefore you will always be on the same pitch.
- Top two teams from each group progress into the ‘BFC Community Cup’.
- Two teams from each group in 3rd and 4th position will also progress into ‘BFC Community Trophy’
- Bottom two teams from each group progress into ‘BFC Community Plate’.
- Each pitch will have designated referees.
- At the end of each game both managers must speak with the referee and confirm the result with him.
- Results will then be given to a pitch steward to bring to the tent.
- Players aren’t allowed to swap between teams if in the case of teams entering an ‘A’ and ‘B’ team.
- If the outcome is a draw at the playoff stages; sudden death penalties until winner is decided
Under 11 & Under 12 (Competitive League)
- There will be one league of six teams.
- Eleven aside. (11 v 11).
- Games will last for exactly 25 minutes, 12 minutes each way with 1 minute for change around.
- Maximum number of players per team is sixteen, minimum is twelve. (11 v 11).
- Roll on, roll off subs, but must let the referee know if you are making substitutions, and can only be made when ball is out of play.
- There is one full size pitch.
- Designated referee for the pitch.
- At the end of each game both managers must speak with the referee and confirm the result with him.
- Results will then be given to a pitch steward to bring to the tent.
Tournament Rules and Procedures
General Tournament Rules
- Boys must not play on the pitches in-between games, namely for health and safety reasons but also to avoid any confusion.
- Zero tolerance on foul or abusive language, from player, mangers or parents. If reported individual will be given an official warning. If still persistent, individual and or team will be removed from tournament.
- Teams must be ready to kick off at their designated times unless agreed otherwise with the event organisers.
- A volunteer will be on hand with all fixtures if you’re confused at any point with where you need to be etc.
- All results will be updated as and when received at the results tent. This means results and updated league fixture will be up as and when, so please refrain from constantly sending people or kids up to ask, just keep checking the relevant board.
- St. Johns Ambulance are on hand for any problems, but there will also be qualified first aiders dotted around.
- No players allowed from academies.
- One designated manager per team who will liaise with referees or the tent.
- Presentations will all be held at the results tent.
- Referees decision is final, whether you agree or disagree.
